Owner John Nemjo opened a small gear and paddle shop in an old pizza shop in Inlet, NY 30 years ago and called it Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company. His business success moved the location to Old Forge, NY and later into downtown Saratoga Springs. While the Mountainman name continues in Old Forge under new ownership, John continues to own and operate the very busy Saratoga location under the new name Saratoga Outdoors. Read more here.

Sorry, we are unable to take back items that are washed or worn. All returned items must be clean, unworn, with original packaging and accompany a receipt within 30 days of original purchase.
When issuing a return back to a credit card, the refund must go back to the original card used at the time of the purchase. Alternatively, we can provide the funds back as store credit.
Yes. In order to make a return you will need a receipt or acceptable proof of purchase.

Unfortunately, no, we cannot issue new gift cards in place of ones that have been lost or stolen.
Yes, you can use a Mountainman gift card at Saratoga Outdoors ONLY. With the sale and separation of Mountainman Old Forge, the gift card can only be redeemed at the newly rebranded Saratoga Outdoors in Saratoga Springs. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience!
No, gift cards do not expire.
