Take the 2026 Adirondack Forest Preserve Hiker Survey!

All summer long in 2026 from Memorial Day to Columbus Day the Adirondack Forest Preserve Hiker Survey is looking for people to complete an easy 15-minute online survey about a recent hike on the Forest Preserve in the Adirondacks. We’re looking for information on the experiences of many different people who hike in the Adirondacks to help improve management and public use. Despite the popularity of the Forest Preserve, from the High Peaks to Lake George to Cranberry Lake, little is known about who hikes on the Forest Preserve or about their thoughts and experiences. Help us build a better understanding about hikers in the Adirondacks.
